I bought a ticket in 2019 and they canceled the flights due to COVID. I had to write 100s of letters to ask for my money but at last issued a coupon. Now I am having a great issue in using it. They never responded when I am trying to reserve a ticket. I am trying several days and even my ticket agent told he could not contact the customer service. I am trying for 3 hours now just singing their horrible recording. I missed several incoming calls. I am very sorry for being a Canadian citizen who could not use a good service of a good Air line after spending my own hard earned money

My sister and I bought a ticket last year to celebrate with a trip our graduations (with optimism and thinking this COVID was not gonna mess with out plans. How wrong we were) Last month we received a mail from @aircanada saying that they cancelled our flight. When we called to get a refund they told us they only gave travel voucher or miles. So, we wrote to customer service. They refunded hers but not mine. So I wrote them again, this time they replied and said that my ticket was non refundable when I countered that they refunded my sisters which was the same fare, same destination, same everything they told me they couldnt discuss other people cases. They replied that they feel ok with the decision to refund hers and not mine and to not write again.

As a Canadian I was often flying to Europe and back for the past 30 years. During that period of time I have noticed that Air Canada have changed from the best to the worst airline I have ever used... I will no longer use it even if it flies me for free... fly with everybody else but avoid AIR CANADA. Last time when I was using air Canada it was overbooking its flights and I had to spend over 24 hours in Montreal waiting for the next air Canada flight. Never more with air Canada.

I was looking forward to Air Canada, but my flight was an hour late departing London which made the connection tight in YUL for the short segment to Vancouver. Crew on board the long overthewater sector was excellent. Very friendly and attentive. Food was good, but not very extensive. Air Canada use a decent economy class seat configuration. While transiting in Montreal, I could see that my bag cleared US Customs. However, it did not make it onto the aircraft for the short flight to Vancouver. Upon arrival, I filed a missing baggage claim with AC. This is done at their checkin counter and, as a result, took a long time as a large family checking in had a problem with their tickets and there was only one agent on duty. I finally was able to file a claim. My bag arrived on the same flight a day later, even though there was six flights between Montreal and Vancouver in the interim. After arriving in Washington, my bag took another 24 hours to get to me. Shameful performance on the part of AC's baggage tracing and contracted courier delivery service. Marred an otherwise good trip with AC.

I had an excellent flight with Air Canada. I chose the Boeing 777 with the pods and AC's Signature service is wonderful. The staff were attentive and friendly, and kept on coming around asking if I wanted anything more. For food, I chose chicken and the salad, dessert and cheese with a glass of wine or two.I flew on their latitude fare (which is full fare economy) and they gave me an upgrade from economy to a seat in the front cabin. My advice is if you fly several times a year fly with the same carrier or alliance because they notice and treat you like gold. One can look for a lower cost fare. However, as a tall guy I really appreciate the service and the big seat and it was very comfy. Also, the IFE was excellent. The AC wide body planes have an excellent number of choices and the front cabin has very large screens.All in all, I recommend.
