Cathay Pacific passenger reviews

Cathay Pacific reviews are pretty favourable, with most passengers enjoying the above average Cathay Pacific inflight experience, although it can be a little mixed on shorter flights. Cathay Pacific Seats which include a great new business class seat, and the Cathay Pacific Fleet includes the new A350, which is an amazing aircraft. All seats on the longhaul aircraft have Cathay Pacific inflight entertainment seatback TV screens, with AVOD play on demand. There is also Cathay Pacific inflight wifi on the new A350. Cathay Pacific inflight meals are generally pretty good, and all are complementary. Cathay Pacific Drinks are also free on board.
International Business Class
Seat is very good, always with aisle access.
Food is generally very good, with a decent choice and service. But meal times can be odd.
Lounges are amazing, particularly at the Hong Kong hub.
International Economy Class
Seat is OK, but not leading the pack.
Entertainment is very good, with great selection
Food & Drinks so-so food: but can be good. Free bar is good.

9/10 | First Class Longhaul | Boeing 777 | London - Heathrow to Hong Kong

Flew London to Auckland via Hong Kong.Great speedy check in at Heathrow, though to the Cathay First lounge. Both flights with Cathay were very good and the crew, especially on the second flight excellent, especially as due to a delay leaving HK we had a very tight domestic connection in Auckland. Assistance was arranged to get us quickly through the airport which was a near record 45 mins from touch down to take off, including a 10 minute walk between terminals. Cathay's food is generally good and it was a nice touch to be offered chopsticks to go with Asian food. Water bottles were replenished throughout the flights too.I really love Cathay's First Class flights out of London always the best.

5/10 | Premium Economy Longhaul | Aircraft: 350 | Amsterdam to Hong Kong

Booked last minute, and was impressed with the Premium economy price. Not bad value. Aircraft was brand new, legroom at 38 inches decent. In flight entertainment was great! This is a 13 hour flight and we had 2 meals and snacks in between.First meal was lunch (which was very good. I had beef, fried rice and veggies) but I was still hungry. The menu said that they offer cup noodles upon request. The FA gave me another entree! As really am not able to sleep during flights, I walk around. I went to the galley at the back of the plane and they have snacks. Few hours passed, I went to the back and asked for toothbrush. I noticed that they do not provided amenity kits unless you asked. I asked for socks at the beginning of the flight. I think I asked both of these from the team lead FA. She is not smiling, very serious and does not even respond back after saying thank you.At mid flight snack time there were more pot noodles. I am hungry so I requested for one. The FA was apologetic and told me I can only have one and I did have mine already. But other people are not even having a snack. They served breakfast late. 30 mins before landing they are still serving breakfast.Overall it was OK, but could have been better.

9/10 | Economy Longhaul | Boeing 777 | London - Heathrow to Brisbane

I had to travel to Australia from the UK at short notice prior to xmas recently. Fares are normally very high at that time of year, and Cathay came out the most "reasonable" of the bunch, given flight times and routing. Despite it being the mad prexmas rush I had a great experience on all 4 sectors. The food was great, the IFE fine with a wide selection of movies and shows. I had a 5 hour transit going and 2 hours on the way back at HKG which was fine. The best thing was the arrivaldeparture times. I arrived in Australia late at night, so I just went home to bed after landing. Leaving I had the whole day and evening before needing to be at the airport. Coming back to the UK I arrived mid afternoon which I prefer to the really early arrivals some other airlines have. I enjoyed my experience so much I flew with them a further 2 times the following year. There were cheaper flights but reading the reviews they didn't seem as comfortable and in some cases had enforced stop overs of 16 to 23 hours.

I was told Cathay Pacific has a standing policy of limiting each passenger to two alcoholic drinks in any one hour period. Can anyone confirm that?

7/10 | Business Class Longhaul | Boeing 777 | London - Heathrow to Hong Kong

Good flight, on time, good lounge service in Hong Kong, where CX now serve noodle cooked to order. It is good to fly Cathay Pacific in that, on this flight, the plane is of long haul configuration with flat bed seats, and as such is useful for a morning nap. It is good to choose Cathay, which generally offer good service.

3/10 | Economy Longhaul | Melbourne to Hong Kong

Whilst it may not seem much to have experienced a delay and change of gate, I totally get that this can happen. However when it involves a complete change of seat and am mobility affected with no service recovery it really sucks. Further up date, just had to go security check again as went from one side of the terminal to the other so had to have check again, still with the same airline, I guess common sense is not so common anymore.

1/10 | Economy Longhaul | Airbus A380-800 | London - Heathrow to Hong Kong

To Hong Kong onboard 777-300ER. The plane barely had 25 passengers, leaving for seat choice to me. The seats were comfortable, wide and clean. The personal TV was big in size and had many options to choose from. It was Ramadan during the time of this flight, so I ordered the take away meal which I ate after we landed and it was delicious. All the female hosts were polite and caring.
