Emirates, currently has twelve A380 superjumbos in its fleet with 78 on order. It will make the paid-for service available in June 2012.
British Airways currently offer a similar service on its business class only route between London City airport and New York JFK. On that service about 20 percent of passengers use the system and a similar level is expected with Emirates.
Emirates has also announced Hong Kong as the newest destination for its super-jumbo, which gives the Dubai-based airline 11 A380 destinations.
