Spanair is a now-frills airline when it comes to the seats in the back. You have to pay for meals and drinks. In business class inconsistency is the word with Spanair food - just like the rest of the airline. Sometimes it can be amazingly good. At other times it is woefully bad. And there's no real way to check what it's going to be before you get on the plane. On domestic hops in business there is only a drink run, and this stops at 11pm - after this point there is nothing.
Plastic knives & forks are used on all flights.
A slice of smoked salmon, with sour cream topped with caviar, and a slice of lime.
A hunk of chocolate cake. A slice of brie. A slice of cheddar. Four grapes. Two rolls. Butter.
Well, there's no doubt about the quantity here. There's enough on the tray to keep you going for hours. The steak is lovely - I've no idea what the sauce & dressing is, but its a good one.
The salmon is just right - althought the addition of sour cream is an odd one and best ignored. Even the chocolate cake is great. Oddly however, there are no biscuits for the cheese.
Pay several hundred pounds more for your domestic flight to upgrade to business class - and you'll get a packet of peanuts. And, errr, that's it.
All flights have some hot meals on board. These vary according to the length of the flight, but are often pasta dishes. €9 - includes roll, sweet, and beer or wine
There are Sandwiches €5, chapatas €5, and muffins €1.50
